What does it mean to be a GAF Master Elite Roofing Contractor?
This is important! This advice could possibly save you thousands in the long run. This is also a key difference between hiring Rock & Tait versus most roofing companies.
First, let’s talk about what it takes to become a roofer:
You’d be surprised that there aren’t any requirements to become a roofer in Wisconsin. Technically anyone can get a few tools together and say they are a roofer. But not all roofing companies can offer the same protection and peace of mind.
This is the reason that roofing complaints make up over half of Better Business Bureau complaints. Many people make the mistake of choosing the lowest priced bid, because they don’t realize the important differences between roofing companies.
Now let’s talk about certification:
Shingle manufacturers don’t want roofing contractors installing their product incorrectly and giving their product a bad name. So manufacturers offer certification programs and training to contractors, so they can in turn offer a better warranty.
This is great, but standard certification doesn’t require much, only that you use their system components to get an upgraded warranty. This is a step up from the standard warranty, but can still leave you with some big holes if you ever need the warranty coverage.
How can you protect your home the best?
This is the important part – you will get the best warranty and protection if you hire a Master Elite contractor like Rock & Tait Exteriors. You can get a warranty that most roofing companies aren’t able to offer. A Master Elite contractor is the only type of roofer than can provide the Golden Pledge warranty, the most powerful and substantial warranty in the entire roofing industry.
Once your new roof is installed, a representative from GAF comes out to certify your roof installation. This is the same company that would be handling your warranty claim if it ever exists in the future. They will come out and put their stamp of approval on the job when we are done, and if for some reason we fail their in depth 40 point inspection we have to fix it right away! There is no better way to be certain that your roof was installed properly!
Because of GAF’s stringent standards, only 3% of all roofing contractors have qualified as Master Elite® contractors!
Rock & Tait is also the only company in the area who has received the Triple Excellence Award from GAF along with the highest honor of the Presidents Club Award!
(Only 28 Contractors in the Nation received this award last year!)
