Air Sealing
Air leakage or infiltration occurs when outside air enters a house uncontrollably through cracks and openings.
Properly air sealing such cracks and openings in your home can significantly reduce heating and cooling costs, and create a healthier indoor environment.
Air leakage does not work as ventilation because the air flow can't be controlled. Air infiltration can also cause problems with moisture, mold and dusty air.
The best strategy is to reduce air leakage as much as possible and to provide controlled ventilation for air flow.
The best way to approach air sealing your home is through a Home Performance Test. While depressurizing your home we then inspect for and locate air leakage w/the use of an extremely sensitive infrared camera. Think of the test as the same as taking your home to the doctor for an x-ray. Allowing you and the doctor to verify the problems it may be experiencing. This state of the art "X-ray" vision will show us exactly where to focus your dollars and our time to dramatically improve the efficiency of your home.
Once all air infiltration and exfiltration points have been discovered through the Home Performance Test, we then seal up your home with spray foaming and other insulation techniques. Afterwards, we can test your house again to show you the improvements which inturn qualify for rebates, tax credits, and don't forget....lower monthly energy bills!!!
