Roof Repair & Snow Removal
Some of the most common areas we have dealt with over and over again are wall flashing/valley junctions, chimneys, and vents. Most leaks occur due to ice dams during the spring freeze/thaw cycle
Snow/Ice removal is necessary when you notice an excess of 6" of snow accumulated on your roof, especially in those vulnerable areas. We highly recommend removing the excessive ice/snow and it is very affordable compared to costs incurred if insulation, drywall, and flashing have to be re-done.
Rock and Tait has 16 Certified installers all trained to evaluate, locate, and fix your leaks. Give us a call at 715-723-7200 and we will look at your roof and give you a free estimate.
First, we evaluate your situation to identify where you've been experiencing problems, then determine if a full roof replacement is necessary or a leak free repair job can be guaranteed.
If a repair can be confidently done, we will gladly give you the solution proposal, and make you a top priority if you accept our proposal. In almost every instance, the repair can be done w/in a day or two.
If your roof is older than 10 years or has a discontinued shingle, we may not be able to perform a basic repair and will most likely recommend re-roofing your house.
Ice dams are very common on your roof no matter how much snow we have accumulated over the winter months. We commonly find attic heat loss issues due to the lack of air sealing/insulation. Exterior top plates are the most vulnerable heat loss areas and are very hard to access from the attic, in which case going in from the roof top may be the only option you have to get rid of the common ice problems.
The only way to know if heat loss is a major factor is by signing up for a Home Performance Test with Rock & Tait, which will allow a highly efficient infrared camera to show the true performance of your home.
