One of the top things people want in their home is for it to be clean. To each family that may mean different things. I am much more relaxed when my home is tidy, neat and things put away. This includes that dreaded kitchen island of “catch-all”. Do you have one of those too?! What I have learned is that it isn’t about having a perfect home all the time, it’s more about having a set place for things and then following a basic & easy routine to put things in those places as you go throughout your day. It’s more about developing good habits of decluttering than spending an entire weekend cleaning and organizing.
I did find an article online to help in many aspects of decluttering and organizing your home. It’s properly titled “The Best Decluttering Advice We’ve Heard” and I believe it has some very valid points to make some simple changes in my home.
Also, it can’t hurt to get professional help Beyond Closets and Not Just Closets here in the Chippewa Valley are great options to get some serious help! They are both members of the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association!
One more way I have started in my own home is taking it one room at a time. Last week while off a few extra days from work, I organized my home office in only about 2 hours. By taking each room once a week, I have an end goal to transform my whole house into a simple to upkeep, tidy home! Wish me luck!
